CULVING SEASON IN NDUTU AREA/ SOUTHERN SERENGETI
In December the herds begin making their way to the southern part of the Serengeti after the rains start falling. The savannah is lush, the weather is balmy and the game viewing experience is exceptional.
It’s easy to predict the migration movement during these months as the herds of zebras and wildebeest give birth to their offspring. Perhaps the greatest spectacle of Serengeti also takes place during the wildebeest calving season.
Thus visiting the Ndutu area wouldn’t be complete without witnessing the wonders of the Serengeti National Park with an amazing short-grassy savannah, studded with rocky outcrops/koppies, because these are favourite areas of predators catching their prey and good homes for other species of living organisms. The surrounding features of Ndutu and Serengeti is amazing.
